From March 24–26, 2026, Head of Internships department Mrs Giulia Trojano participated in 2nd Transnational Meeting of the Erasmus+ project “InternshipConnect” in Riga. Representing Italian Hospitality School, Mrs. Giulia Trojano, Head of the Internship Department, actively participated in the discussions and collaborative sessions.

Key highlights of the meeting

• Exchange of innovative practices and intercultural approaches, including Latvian language learning for foreign interns and interviews with international students in Riga
• Strategic sessions on communication, dissemination, and project impact
• Discussions with students and staff from HOTEL SCHOOL and Hanseberg VET College (Denmark) on academic, social, and internship experiences
• Presentation of the pilot “bridging device” model designed to support and secure professional internships
• Progress updates on the implementation of experimental support hubs across partner countries
• Professional visit to AC Hotel Riga by Marriott, including an interview with Deputy Director Sabīne Jansone
• Guided tour of Old Riga, offering cultural insights into the city’s heritage

This meeting strengthened cooperation among partners and marked an important step toward creating more inclusive, supportive, and effective internship pathways for young people across Europe.
