In April 2023, our chef Rocco Burdino did job-shadowing activities at HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College in Riga, Latvia, in the framework of the project “Providing relevant job skills through VET learning – Fornire competenze professionali attraverso l’apprendimento IFP”, project No. 2021-1-IT01-KA122-VET-000017760.

Rocco organised training sessions for VET learners from Latvia and Ukraine and taught them Italian cuisine specialties like pizza, focaccia, pasta, and many more. At the same time, Rocco had the opportunity to participate in the Cameroonian Cultural Day organised by the members of HOTEL SCHOOL’s Student Parliament from Cameroon. That was a really unique experience, as Rocco helped cook Cameroonian traditional food for the first time in his life!
