The practices of sustainable hospitality digitalisation are yet underrepresented, and in some regions especially. As there is the difference in concept between sustainable hospitality and hospitality, digitalisation and sustainable digitalisation and digitalisation leading to sustainability, it is important to unite the capacities from the transnational consortium, which is unique and specific for that topic by expertise. Such countries as Denmark, Sweden are especially developed by means of technological development, digitalisation, sustainability practices, and it is useful to transfer knowledge and practices across all countries.
The project “Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation Toolkit“, No. 2021-1-LV01-KA220-VET-000033140, gathers together six partners: HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College, City Unity College Nicosia (Cyprus), Dania Academy (Denmark), DigitalGuest APS (Sweden), INERCIA DIGITAL SL (Spain) and Italian Hospitality School SRL (Italy). The international cooperation between the partners helps to unite the capacity for R&D, share existing practices and develop the working consilium on best solutions to address the needs of all involved countries and beyond at the level of VET learners, VET educators and the labour market, covering the interests of increasing digital and digitalisation skills capacity in EU.
The aim of the project is to enhance access to training and qualifications for all, supported by pooling of resources, providing initial and/or continuing training to the staff, and strengthening further the key competences in initial and continuing VET, in particular digital skills, green skills, employability.
The project No. 2021-1-LV01-KA220-VET-000033140 is co-financed by the European Union.
